Simon Gold buys silver in many forms and purity levels. You can bring us silver rings, bracelets, chains, earrings, coins, bars, cutlery and other silver items. Old, damaged or unused pieces can still have meaningful metal value.
The valuation takes into account the weight, measured silver purity, current silver price and, where relevant, the type of object or coin.
Purity
Not every silver item is made of pure silver. Sterling silver is typically marked 925, while marks such as 700, 800 and 999 are also used. A hallmark gives an initial indication, but we professionally test the material for an accurate valuation.
Market price
The silver price moves continuously on the international market. Our calculator therefore uses a current silver price per gram, while a final offer is based on market conditions at the time of the assessment.

Analysis
A hallmark does not always tell the full story. Professional analysis equipment lets us check metal composition accurately. This is especially useful for older pieces, unmarked items and alloys where the exact silver content is not immediately clear.

Rings, bracelets, chains, earrings, pendants and other silver jewellery can be assessed, even when old or damaged.
We assess silver coins, investment silver and silver bars. For certain special coins, the type of coin may matter in addition to the metal value.
Silver cutlery, bowls, candlesticks and other household items may also have value. We first check whether the item actually contains silver and in what quantity.
